Since 2023, the MEMO has been a unique free and open space for psychoanalytic exploration and for a meaningful and fruitful high-level exchange amongst colleagues.

Our theme this year is:

How to keep thinking analytically in a collapsing world?
(A question inspired by the Swiss analyst, Saskia von Overbeck Ottino)

Our presenters in 2026-2027 are all training or senior analysts from across Canada.

Meetings will be on ZOOM or Hybrid, monthly, on the 4th Monday starting at 7:30 PM (EST)

There is no charge to join the MEMO study group; though, a tax-deductible contribution of 50$ for the academic year (8 sessions) will enable AF to carry its mission. AF has no fundraising activities and counts on the support of the analytic community.

Your donation grants you – if you wish so – a general membership to AF with a voting right.

The Aquarium Foundation (AF)

We are pleased to announce that the founder is the recipient of the Coronation Medal of King Charles III (2025)

Aquarium is the only psychoanalytic foundation in Canada devoted to the wellbeing of children and young adults (0-28 years old). It aims the promotion of psychoanalytic thinking and practice as it applies to youth and families in the context of social changes and world issues.

Aquarium has granted up to 20.000$ to the psychoanalytic psychotherapy of Children and families and further requests are coming in. In addition, AF provides consultation to special communities (ex. The Hasidic community, First Nations and La Maison d’Haiti), it networks psychodynamically oriented therapists in the community, engages benevolently in the professional development of health organisations (ex. CLCS and CPG) and has submitted two official memoirs to the Government of Québec advocating for the emotional needs of Children. Aquarium is also part of the IPA Humanitarian Field Committee and the UN-IPA Liaison subcommittee.

Please get involved and donate generously.
